HiPP Formula

The company HiPP was founded in 1932 by Georg Hipp, a man of many passions. He learned the trade of being a wax chandler, then went off on his travels for a while to Italy. When he returned, at the age of sixteen, he sold a product of his father door to door in Munich: rusk flour for children’s nutrition (thus started the passion and philosophy of the HiPP family for baby food).

After his father’s death, he took over his pastry shop, before finally founding HiPP company in 1932. He expanded it into a leading manufacturer of baby food. His company was the first to explore the field of producing baby food on a large scale, expanding his range over the years. Having been a pioneer in his field, helead the way for this industry and collected much valuable experience and expertise.

Next to his business, he started organically farming fruit and vegetables for his products – another field that he explored early on. Nowadays, with much experience in the fields of baby food and organic farming, the company is still run by the HiPP family (by Georg’s sons, to be exact).

For almost 60 years now, the HiPP company has stood for a conscious approach to the balance of nature and nutrition and is one of world's largest processor of organic raw materials. "The best from nature.

HiPP formula aims to be as closely to breastmilk as possible and contains all important nutrients for your baby to thrive and grow up happy and healthy. It includes all essential macronutrients (carbohydrates, fats and proteins) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), and has added pre- and probiotics and DHA.

The European Union has strict guidelines that all formula manufacturers must follow. This way you can be sure that the formula does not contain any potentially harmful ingredients like refined sugars, synthetic nutrients and preservatives.

HiPP formula holds the EU organic certification, which ensures that all products stem from production that follows strict regulations for organic production. Next to production / farming, the rules also determine proper processing, transport, and storage.

During the whole process, nature must be respected and the impacton the environment has to be as small as possible. Products with the EU organiclabel come from production that respects nature, biodiversity and animal and plant health. The products are guaranteed pesticide, GMO and hormone free, and antibiotics and artificial fertilizers are strictly limited.

HiPP also has their own label for organic products: HiPP Bio. Among other things, this seal guarantees respect for the animals, stricter limits for pesticides than the EU allows, and more than 260 quality controls per HiPP food jar.
