HiPP HA 2 Ingredients as Clean as They Come

Probiotics: HiPP HA formula Stage 2 contains L. fermentum probiotic cultures specially selected to support your baby’s digestive health and overall well-being. HiPP is the only formula to include this strain of probiotics originally sourced from breast milk.

Prebiotics:To help boost the effectiveness of probiotics, HiPP HA 2 includes prebiotics galactooligosaccharides from lactose chosen for their similarity to the prebiotics found present in human milk. 

Hydrolyzed Whey: HiPP HA formula is based on extensively hydrolyzed whey, which has a unique protein structure broken down into tinier molecules, contributing to greater digestive ease.

Metafolin:This natural form of folate (vitamin B9) replicates the structure of folate found in breast milk. Thanks to its high absorption rate, infants fed formula with Metafolin have been shown to have folate levels comparable to that of breastfed babies.

Lactose: This carbohydrate provides energy for growth and is the most predominant carbohydrate found in breast milk. HiPP hypoallergenic Stage 2 features lactose as the sole source of carbs.

What to Consider About HiPP Hydrolyzed Formula

The recipe of HiPP HA formula is based on 25 years of extensive immunology research.

HiPP HA 2 has elevated levels of iron to support healthy cognitive development. It’s also rich in vitamins A, C, and D to support immune function.

HiPP HA Stage 2 is not suitable for every baby who struggles with cow’s milk protein allergy (CMPA); please consult your doctor before incorporating this formula into your feeding routine.

How to prepare a HiPP baby formula safely

Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and may contain a small number of potentially harmful germs. To inhibit the growth of these germs in the prepared formula, it is crucial to follow safe preparation and handling practices. This ensures that the formula remains safe and healthy for your baby to consume.

Basic rules of hygiene

• Clean the countertop and wash your hands thoroughly with soap under warm running water.
• Do not prepare any raw foods at the same time.
• Prepare the formula freshly before every meal and feed immediately.
• Dispose of any leftovers and do not reuse them later. Do not store the prepared formula in the refrigerator.
• Do not put prepared formula in bottle warmers or thermos flasks to keep it warm.
• Clean the bottle, teat and ring thoroughly right after every meal.
• If you use rubber/latex teats, boil them every now and then (not necessary with silicone teats).

Preparing the bottle – the step-by-step guide

• Wash your hands thoroughly and sterilize the feeding bottle, teat, and ring in boiling water for 10 minutes._Boil fresh drinking water and cool to approx. 40°-50° C* / 104-122° F
• Add the desired amount of boiled water (see Table) to bottle.
• Measure the recommended amount of formula powder (see Table). Level the formula on the measuring spoon and add the powder to the water.
• Close the bottle, and shake thoroughly.
• Cool to a drinking temperature of approx. 37° C / 98.6° F. Remember to test the temperature before feeding your baby.

Tips for travelling

Pack several clean and dry bottles with pre-measured amounts of formula powder and a thermos with cold, boiled water. Prepare the formula freshly whenever necessary and feed immediately.

Safety instructions

There are instructions on every formula pack on how to correctly prepare, store and dispose of the formula: “Please follow the instructions carefully when preparing formula.” Incorrect preparation or storing the prepared bottle for a longer period of time can be harmful to your baby’s health, e.g. due to the growth of undesirable bacteria. Prepare the formula freshly before every meal, feed immediately and dispose of any leftovers. Clean the bottle, teat and ring thoroughly after every meal.

Breastfeeding is best for babies. Infant formula should only be given upon the advice of pediatricians, midwives or other independent experts.
